Our Property Management Division manages the Capital Improvement Program including the planning, design, construction, and furnishing of new and renovated facilities. Design, construction and testing services are outsourced in accordance with N. C. General Statutes. Additionally, Property Management coordinates and oversees relocations for County departments.
The Facilities Division provides general and mechanical maintenance for all County-owned facilities to ensure a safe environment for the citizens of Guilford County and its employees. We also as oversee maintenance contracts, special maintenance projects, lawn/grounds and janitorial services for all County-owned and occupied facilities. Our department also provides mail services to County facilities, is Court liaison to ensure General Statute requirements are met, installs/maintains all County road signs and manages over 2,000 county parking spaces in Greensboro and High Point.
We also manage real estate acquisitions, disposition of surplus real property, negotiation of easements, encroachments, lease agreements, assignment of space in County buildings and vending contracts. It is also our responsibility to outsource all surveying, appraisals, environmental testing and mapping required to support the County’s Capital Improvement projects and real estate activities.
Our Parks Division provides oversight to the Parks, Open Space and Trails programs.
It is our goal to provide services that result in a durable, cost effective, efficient facility to provide a good work environment to the employees as well as value to the taxpayer.
