NCOSFM TR-Agriculture Emergencies – Fire District 13

 

 

Description:

 

The purpose of this course is to train responders how to deal with agricultural emergencies. Students will become familiar with emergencies involving grain bins, silos, agricultural chemicals, pesticides, and farm equipment. Extrication techniques will be reviewed and demonstrated. This course will provide the Students with practical exercises in order to apply the latest techniques in the area of agricultural rescue.

 

* The NC Fire & Rescue Commission certification * will only be given to those students who currently

hold a TR VMR & TR ROPES certification, upon successful completion of this course, a certificate will be issued.

Participants need to provide a helmet, coveralls/turn-out gear, gloves, eye and hearing protection, steel toe boots.

 

Participants are also encouraged to provide their own means of hydration (Water & Gatorade)
